I thought the other day about all the important people in our lives that we are so far from and decided I'd give this blog idea a try. Kevin laughed (knowing me and my procrastination habit all too well) but I've never been known to let a little laughter deter me from anything. So here I sit trying to compose something for a second time (my first, very articulate and witty blog was eaten by the computer) in hopes of accomplishing my goal. When I decided to go ahead with this idea I wanted it to be a collaboration of the Scott family not just news of Kirsten. So I asked for input for the name. Kevin had none (maybe he was ignoring me??) and Payton had a few ideas. The kind you might expect from a 6 (almost 7, ugh!) year old. X Family, Incredible Family etc.. I thought those might seem hilarious to those of you reading this and who know our family so well. I politely passed and said "Thanks for all the help,"(directed at Kevin) ever so sweetly and with a smile of course. As I headed back downstairs I picked up a book hoping to find inspiration and did just that. I picked up a book from a good friend titled Off the Beaten Path (referring to ND) and read it out loud. Kevin (who was listening!!) said that's it. Somewhere Off the Beaten Path is where we are. I had to laugh. So here I sit attempting my second? (of many I hope) blog. I need to apologize in advance for any spelling (the ones the spellcheck doesn't catch) errors or subject matter. I do, after all, live in a house with 3 children under 7 and one under 35 (just kidding I love him dearly!!) But honestly sometimes the only things I have to share are stories about the potty or diapers or gross bodily noises etc..you all know exactly what I mean.
