Happy Birthday Dad!

Well, I must say this has been one of the longest, yet best, birthdays in my 34 years! After Kirsten's post yesterday, she started having contractions at around 3 pm. I got home around 5:15 and we hurried to the hospital due to the blizzard. It was an interesting ride to say the least! Well, we waited at the hospital and at 3 am Kirsten's water broke and 5 short hours later, at 7:51, Kirsten blessed our family with a 7 lb 3 oz 20 inch long bundle of joy! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well. It took us a long time (close to 8 hours) to finally nail down a name for our new addition. We have settled on Weston Oliver Scott. As you can see from the pictures, this name suits him well. If any of you remember what Gavin looked like when he was born, you will probably mistake Weston for Gavin. Please enjoy the pictures!

Updates and due date!!

Well...today is my due date. I am not in labor at the moment but things could change. Actually I hope I don't go today due to a huge blizzard coming up from the south and going by way of Park River where I will be delivering. I can wait until the storm passes. Last week I had made no progress and today I was about 2 or 3 with a soft cervix and she could feel the baby's head. I am so excited...so...soon we should see a baby!
The boys did so well at their first tournament. Payton took 2nd and Gavin took 4th. Both wrestled boys who have been wrestling since November and the boys have been wrestling about 2 weeks. They did such a great job. Olivia had a great time also, dressed like a princess (everywhere we go) but didn't get a trophy. She was a bit disappointed.

Olivia had a great time also, dressed like a princess (everywhere we go) but didn't get a trophy. She was a bit disappointed. So after lunch, she got to get her ears pierced. She was so excited. She's been asking for a couple months if she could have "pokey" earrings, but we've been holding off. So Saturday was the day...she is so proud of her new earrings. She keeps asking to wear her hair up so everyone can see them.

She picked the pink daisies and can't wait to get new earrings. Why does she have to grow so fast? She didn't even cry. I will try to post video here in the next few days. xoxo

Forgot the pictures!!

I forgot to attach the picture of Olivia in my last post so I thought I'd post these others as well.
Here are Gavin and Olivia playing some kind of game where they snorkle/swim. The ski goggles are for seeing underwater.

Then here is Olivia and her amazing fashion sense. Bathing suit, tank top, pants, fairy dress and high heels. Fabulous. This is what she wore to the boys wrestling practice also. I guess I don't have to worry about self image yet!!

Just the usual...

Not much new here. The boys have their first wrestling tournament tomorrow (we are all very excited). Gavin has been doing so well for his first time in something organized. He's picking up the basics and has a good time. Payton is also doing very well, building upon what he learned last year. Olivia and I go and watch and she provides the entertainment for the other parents. Spinning around in circles, making herself dizzy, all the while sporting some kind of outfit like the one above. It is always entertaining for others when the Scott's are around I think, either that or they think I am a crazy lady for having 3 and one on the way. Which reminds me, (like I need reminding) I am only 4 days away from my due date. Which realistically means nothing. I was 2 weeks over due with Olivia and was not dilated at all last Tuesday....So I will just keep this little baby warm a few more days. Payton was so excited the other day when he realized that I was 6 days from my due date. He actually thought (and rightly so for an 8 year old) that the baby would come on the due date. The look of disappointment on his face mirrored my feelings exactly. He said "I wish this baby would hurry up". I might just have to remind him of that when the said baby is old enough to get into his big brother's stuff!! Really though we are all anxiously awaiting this little baby and I know there will be much fighting about who gets to hold, burp, feed for quite a while. Now if I could just get someone to fight me for the chance to change diapers.....I'd be one elated mom!
